Normal School Day:  3:30 pm - 8:00 pm

School Holidays/Teacher Workdays:  8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Early Release:  1:00 pm-8:00 pm

Wednesday Early Release:  2:30 pm-8:00pm

Summer Program:  8:00 am - 5:00 pm

 

Annual Membership Fee:
 

$5.00 per year to join
Membership year from January 1st through December 31st

 

Summer Fee:

$20.00 to join for the summer

 

Special Note: Summer Program Registration begins April 1st at 6:30pm. Orientations will continue every Wednesday at 6:30pm.

The Washington Elementary Boys & Girls Club is currently seeking highly-motivated and qualified staff for the following positions:

 

 

PART-TIME

 

 

Position: Part-time Bi-Lingual staff

 

Pay: &7.25-$8.00

 

Hours: Summer 8am-5pm (M-F) School Year 3:30pm-7:30pm

 

General Function: Provide fun programming while serving as the parent liaison to the Hispanic families we serve. Must have experience working with youth, personable and must be available between the hours of 8am-5pm (Summer) and 3:30pm-7:30pm (School Year).

 

SPANISH TRANSLATION:

 

Profesional bilingue encargado del desarrollo de programas para jovenes, puesto de medio tiempo

 

Los interesados deberan tener experiencia trabajando con jovenes y tener la habilidad de     relacionarse con ellos, asimismo estar disponible desde las 15:30 a las 19:00 horas.

 

Con el numero creciente de hispanos, esperamos contratar a un asistente social encargado de   trabajar con jovenes quien estara encargado de desarrollar programas de entretenimiento y que         a la vez sirva de enlace a los padres de familias de hispanos que servimos.

 

El sueldo por hora sera establecido en base a la experiencia del profesional contratado.

*Job Description:

The Social Recreation, Sports and Fitness Director plans and carries out programs in the Club social recreation areas.  The ideal candidate will have the necessary skills to establish creative activities and have ample enthusiasm to work with members ages 5-18.  Programs that are developed should be for all Club members and should engage members in meaningful and fun activities.  The SRSF Director will provide members with guidance while conducting program in the Club.  Finally, the SRSF Director must be able to communicate effectively with staff, parents and volunteers. 

*Qualifications:

A. Experience or course of study in elementary, secondary education, child development or child psychology.
B. Enthusiastic and creative individual with the ability to work directly with members.
C. Ability to communicate orally and in written form with members, parents and volunteers.
D. Ability to market program and activities.
E. Ability to work with large groups of members.
F. Application of discipline consistent with and appropriate to the goals of the Boys & Girls Club.
G. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish
