Boys & Girls Clubs offer a variety of career opportunities for people
with experience and academic training in education, social work, physical education, and
related fields.
Full-time Professionals generally enter the Boys & Girls Clubs profession as
either a Youth Development Professional or as a Management Professional.
Youth Development Professionals are responsible for providing daily programs
consistent with the Boys & Girls Clubs youth development mission and goals.
Management Professionals are responsible for assisting with general administrative
duties, including human resources, training, fundraising, facilities management, community
liaison, and program development.
Boys & Girls Clubs Professionals are men and women who use their education,
training and energies to help young people. They enjoy being with kids, they understand
them and get satisfaction from seeing them become responsible citizens and leaders.

Position: Youth Development Professional
Category: Full-time
Salary: $30,000 per year
Primary Function: Youth Development Professionals are
responsible for providing daily programs, services and activities for Club
members which are consistent with the organization's youth development mission
and goals. Youth Development Professionals develop positive, productive
relationships with members and may concentrate on one or more core program
areas.
Key Roles: The Youth Development Professionals establishes a
program setting that insures the health and safety of members; contributes to
the overall Club's climate for youth development; is personally involved in
implementing and carrying out daily programs; provides guidance services;
manages necessary administrative functions and assigned resources; promotes and
markets programs in the Club and community.
Qualifications:
4 year college degree from accredited university or college
Capable and qualified to obtain Commercial Driver License
Experience working with large groups of youth in camp or community
based youth program setting or Club

Position: Social Recreation Programmer
Category: Part-time 20 to 25 hrs./wk. (Afternoons &
Evenings)
Hourly Wage: $8 to $10 per/hr.
General Function: The Social Recreation Programmer plans and
carries out daily programs, activities and events in several program areas
including outdoor areas; has ample energy and enthusiasm to work "hands on" with
members daily; planned programs, activities and events engage members in
meaningful, fun and creative activities and events; must be able to communicate
effectively with members, parents, volunteers and staff.
Qualifications:
Experience or course of study in physical education, recreation or
education. Youth work or camp experience in a leadership role a plus. Must have
clean driving record.

Club: Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club
Position: Support Our Students Site Coordinator
Category: Part-time 20 hrs./wk. (Afternoons &
Evenings)
Hourly Wage: $9 to $11 per/hr.
General Function: The Support Our Students (SOS) Site
Coordinator is responsible for using the resources provided by the SOS grant to
enhance and supplement the overall Boys & Girls Club program. The coordinator
will have a special emphasis on programming for middle school age members and
will be required to keep all records as set forth by the grant.
Skills & Qualifications:
1.
Experience or course of study in elementary, secondary education,
child development or child psychology. Youth work or camp
experience in a leadership role preferred.
2.
Enthusiastic and creative programmer with the ability to work
directly with members.
3.
Ability to communicate orally and in written form with members,
parents and volunteers.
4.
Ability to manage grant budget and prepare all required reports
monthly.
5.
Ability to create market and implement programs for youth.
6.
Ability to work with large groups of youth.
7.

Club: Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club
Position: Education Programs Coordinator
Category: Part-time
Hours: School Year: Monday- Thursday 2:30-6:30
Hourly Wage: $7.50-$8.50
General Function: The Education Programs Coordinator’s
job is to organize, plan, conduct and evaluate the homework assistance program
for club members. Track educational progress of members in the program. In the
summer, establish activities that are learning based to supplement what members
are learning in school.
Skills & Qualifications:

Experience or course of study in elementary, secondary education,
