Other Ways to Donate
Below are many different ways to
make a difference in a child's life.
Positive Place For Kids Campaign: Each year we serve over 3,953 youth which is a growing number. Any size donation will help us serve more children.
For example, $1,000 will fuel Boys & Girls Clubs buses for 50 field trips; $400
can purchase six months of school supplies for 25 members; $200 can send a child
to camp for one week.
Federal Employee: Support the Boys
& Girls Clubs through the Combined Federal Campaign. Our new 5-digit CFC
code number is 70623.
United Way:
We
encourage you to support the community campaign and United Way's Community
Care fund. The Boys & Girls Clubs will be listed in Triangle United
Way's campaign materials and is eligible to receive designated gifts.
Are you as state employee? If so, support the Boys & Girls Clubs through
the State Employees Combined Campaign. Designate your fit to our agency!

planned giving and the many benefits available to you.
Giving Through Your Will: A specific dollar amount, specific asset, or percentage of an estate may be specified in a donor's will or trust
to be paid to the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Giving Appreciated Assets: A charitable deduction for both income tax and capital gains tax can be taken based on the fair market value of
the stock at the time your gift is made. Gifts of low-basis stock can produce larger charitable deductions.
A gift of closely-held stock can allow the donor to maintain control of the corporation while still claiming both
capital gains and income tax deductions.
A gift of appreciated real property will allow the donor to avoid capital gains tax as well as brokerage fees and
closing costs.
Giving Life Insurance: New or current life insurance policies may be transferred or irrevocably assigned to the Boys & Girls Clubs as
beneficiary; or a donor can retain ownership of a policy, pay the premium and simply name the Boys & Girls Clubs
as the beneficiary. Both have substantial tax benefits to the donor and the donor's estate.
Charitable Remainder Trust: A significant donation can be structured in a trust as either a lifetime income for one or more beneficiaries,
with the income going to the Boys & Girls Clubs, or with the lifetime income going to the Boys & Girls Clubs and
the remainder going to the beneficiaries. Trusts can be designed to meet individual needs of the donor to provide
savings on income, capital gains and estate taxes.
